California Showcase

In 2012 Terry Donahue invited me work with him on an ambitious new project to bring a new opportunity to talented high school football players who were not already drafted by division I colleges. The concept was to bring seniors together with college coaches from across the country and put their skills through a series of drills in a one-day combine. The program was originally modeled after an event in Houston by Phil Camp and has since exceeded all expectations. Millions of dollars have been raised and hundreds of high school seniors have found scholarships and opportunity where none would have existed before.

A complete identity was needed along with a responsive website to capture sign-ups, attract new sponsors and showcase the community impact. So far, the event has matched 258 athletes with over $8M in scholarship opportunity in 24 states across the country. One in four high schoolers that attend the combine were awarded some amount of aid.
